Dileya’s granddam, Fleeting Spirit, is a winner of the British Group 1 July Cup, making her a notable presence in the family. The dam, who placed second in the Christmas Rose Stakes, hails from a short-distance pedigree and this is her first foal. Weighing over 530 kilograms, the filly stands out for her size and power. Her debut is scheduled for June 14 at Tokyo in a maiden race over 1,400 meters on dirt. Trainer Takagi commented, “She still has some looseness, but she has plenty of power. She’s a horse with a strong will, so I think she can handle the distance. However, she tends to be unsettled at the starting gate, so we’re working on her temperament and training with caution.”
