Marc Márquez was involved in a severe crash during the sprint race at the French Grand Prix in Le Mans on Saturday morning. The Spanish rider lost control of his bike, which flipped multiple times and was heavily damaged, as he was thrown to the side of the track. Despite the violent incident, the seven-time world champion got up and walked away from the circuit. After receiving medical attention, a fracture in his right foot was diagnosed, which will sideline the Ducati representative for the next two races.

Márquez started the sprint from second place. Late in the race, on the penultimate lap at turn 14, he lost control and crashed. Before the fall, his right foot struck the ground hard, and he was launched sideways along with his bike. He was treated and left the circuit limping.
