Xavi Pascual expressed satisfaction after FC Barcelona secured their 21st victory of the Liga Endesa season, defeating San Pablo Burgos 91-76 in a strong performance. “We played very well in the first half on both ends of the court, controlling the game. In the second half, we started a bit slower and played with the lead too much—which is understandable—but I think we could have done more offensively. It’s important to keep adding wins,” said the coach.
Pascual also provided an injury update, noting the team continues to be short-handed. “We haven’t recovered anyone yet. Hopefully, before the playoffs we can get some players back. In the playoffs, every game is do-or-die, and the end of the season will be challenging. Juani’s injury seemed like a knock—we missed him in the second half. We’re taking it day by day. Sato has reaggravated his back problems; Will, Lapro, Vesely, and Kusturica are still recovering. Miles Norris sprained his ankle 48 hours before the game. For next week, it’s very difficult,” he admitted.

Juani Marcos injured his knee against San Pablo Burgos.
On his own future, the coach—who praised Youssoupha Fall (16 points, 8 rebounds) and Willy Hernangómez (10 points, 10 rebounds)—offered no new updates as rumors linked him to Dubai Basket. “I will not talk about my future until the end of the season,” Pascual stated. He confirmed he will attend the Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou this Sunday, and also had kind words for both Juan Núñez and Juani Marcos.

“Núñez is growing and helping us a lot. He’s also scoring and gaining confidence in his shot. I’m also happy with Juani Marcos and the minutes he’s played on the court,” Pascual said.
Regarding their chances of winning the ACB title at the end of the season, Pascual assured that both he and his players would give their all. “We need to keep a level head, not get too high or too low. We have to keep winning games and see how far we can go. We’re optimistic and here to fight for the title with everything we have, just like we did in the Copa and the EuroLeague. We’ll fight until the end,” he concluded.
