The battle to become the top scorer in LaLiga EA Sports 2025/26 is reaching a white-hot climax. With just three matchdays left to play, forwards are pushing their chances of claiming the Pichichi award, which remains much more open than initially expected.
Kylian Mbappé seemed destined to be the championship’s top scorer from the very start of the season. The Real Madrid French striker began the campaign on fire and extended his scoring streak until a few months ago, when a spell of injuries and poor team results derailed his momentum.

Mbappé’s absence from this round of LaLiga due to injury has allowed other forwards to close the gap, including Vedat Muriqi. The Kosovan striker scored in the match against Villarreal and now sits on 22 goals, just two behind Mbappé’s 24 – an unthinkable scenario just weeks ago.
From a Barcelona perspective, Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres share the honor of being the club’s top league scorers this season, each with 16 goals. Ferran scored a brilliant goal in the Clásico against Real Madrid, which has lifted him in the rankings and leaves him just one goal behind Ante Budimir (17 goals), who occupies third place.
